History
Welcome to the web site of Able Barmilling & Mfg. Co., Inc., your premier source for custom contoured barstock, continuous profile milling, and related secondary and complete parts manufacturing.
Established over 50 years ago (originally as Mooremaster Mfg.), we proudly produce special profiles on standard bars, plate, or tubing in all available grades of metals and rigid plastics in stock lengths up to 24 feet for a wide variety of industrial applications, including components for the automotive, computer, surgical, food processing, paper products and special machinery industries.
Since taking ownership in March, 1983, our main mission is to provide our customers with the highest quality products, in any quantity, and at reasonable prices. To ensure this mission, we maintain current ISO certifications (ISO 9001:2015), and after 35 years in the Melrose Park area have relocated to an updated, larger facility, in July of 2018.
Our unique barmilling equipment gives us the capability to produce your special shape quickly, accurately, and in small quantities without the minimum purchase requirements and long lead times common to extruding or cold drawing.
We are your one-stop shop
If buying completed parts is your preference, we provide in-house secondary manufacturing services such as production saw cutting and deburring, drilling, tapping, milling, and grinding. We also provide out-sourcing for other operations such as heat treating, plating, anodizing, etc., for your “One-Stop” purchasing convenience.
